ABOUT US
Amplify Us was born from working creatively with people with lived experience across an intersection of identities and communities, particularly young people whose voices are largely absent from mainstream media..
We understand the power felt when real life journeys are met with imagination and creative action.
Amplify Us offers a platform for underrepresented groups to share their stories in the way that they want, on their own terms through co-production and collaboration..
We believe that people are experts through experience and when given an opportunity to share their stories and feel connected with others, something incredibly exciting happens.
Not only do participants feel empowered, but they create an environment of shared connections, developing their own communities, which in turn inspire and empower others.
DIRECTORS

Tamsin Clements
(Founder, Director & Facilitator)
Tamsin is a dedicated advocate for youth voice and co-production. After a dynamic career in BBC radio news and also within the education sector, she became the Real Stories Lead at a leading youth homelessness charity. During this time Tamsin launched a youth-focused podcast, empowering young people as hosts and panellists, and witnessed the transformative power of giving them a platform. Inspired by this, she founded the non-profit community interest company, Amplify Us. Tamsin champions the belief that people are experts by experience, embracing the mantra "nothing about us without us.", a guiding principle behind Amplify Us. Recently, she also produced a podcast series highlighting young changemakers in Sierra Leone.

Matt Catlow
(Director & Facilitator)

Throughout his career, Matt has worked extensively with vulnerable adults and disadvantaged youth, championing the transformative power of art and music. In 2011, Matt set up "Locked On Radio," a year-long podcasting project featuring 12 episodes of client-led content that addressed issues critical to marginalised communities with experiences of homelessness. With Amplify Us, Matt aims to continue this impactful work, providing young people with opportunities to develop their storytelling, music, and recording skills.
